“Effective Practice Habits of Overachievers”
Presented by Dr. John Mortensen of Cedarville University
John Mortensen is a pianist, improviser, educator, and author. He appears frequently as a concert artist and masterclass teacher at colleges and unviersities nationwide. He is a Steinway Artist and an Ohio Artist on Tour. In 2015 he was selected for the Fulbright Specialists’ Roster in American Music by the US Department of State. He serves as professor of piano at Cedarville University. In 2016 he was named Faculty Scholar of the Year, that institution’s highest award. You can visit his website at www.johnmortensen.com.
The program will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church (125 N Wilkinson St., Dayton) in the Fellowship Hall (ground floor). Members may enter by either the Wilkinson or Perry Street entrances and will be buzzed in. The Perry Street entrance is a ramped entrance.
For off-street parking, pull up to the front of the Westminster lot and you will be re-directed to an overflow lot if necessary. Since there may be less parking available than usual, car-pooling is encouraged.
